Corel has done something amazing with the Paint It!. They have provided no talent hacks like me the opportunity to appear talented. Paint It! goes far beyond paint brush filters used on some programs. It allows you to tailer the  picture to your personality and creative spirit. It creates "an authentic-looking photo painting every time with smart auto-painting technology that mimics how a real artist would paint." I don't know how it does that, but I don't know how a doorknob works either, and I enter my house just like a pro would.
Corel Digital Studio 2010 does the same thing with videos and photos. I can take those photos and videos I had sitting on my hard drive and actually use them to make me look more talented, even though I'm just as lame as ever. Digital Studio 2010 will organize and edit my rag tag collection and make me shine (and if there is one thing I love, it's a shiny Robert).

When I first saw this giveaway, I was a little underwhelmed (I'm being nice). But I took the time to read the review and I realized how fun it would be for my daughters. Although they are separated by 16 years, the one thing they have in common is having fun. That is what this giveaway is all about. This is something they can do together and have a really good time.

Clueless Mama Winner

I've been trying to win a flat iron for the last couple of months. My daughter Nikki, buys 2 or 3 a year and can never find one that suits her. Well thanks to Clueless Mama's giveaway, I finally won one. It was just in time, with her birthday coming up. I should have wrapped it up then but  I couldn't resist opening it and seeing it in use.


When I opened the box, I saw the most wonderfully packaged item I have ever received from a giveaway.

The package came with white roses, one white rose on the stem, a bottle of Shine Shield, a pretty detailed  instruction and warranty manual, a holder, a bottle of sanitizer in a really nice satchel, emery boards, and of course the flat iron.

The wife loved the way the flat iron felt in her hand, solid, but not too heavy. This was much better than any flat iron she ever used before.

It looked so effortless, I decided to try it for myself, I guess they need to make a smaller flat iron.

Overall we were really impressed with the results from both the flat iron and the shine shield.

Unfortunately, when we were about to pack it up, I tried stepping across the cord, but caught it with my foot. It was pulled out of Jean's hand and crashed on the floor, cracking the ceramic plates.

When these things first came out I used to joke about how they made people look like robocop or a borg from star trek.  On  a recent trip out of state I found out I was required by law to use a hands free device if I was going to make calls while driving. I was in a hurry to buy on and I thought I was getting a great deal. The only problem I had was I had bought a cheap headset with no range, scratchy speaker, and no battery life. I thought all headsets were alike. Then my daughter bought a Jabra. I borrowed it and found a completely different experience.
